About Us

Legacy of the Zamorin Family

Welcome to The Turmerica, where nature and comfort embrace. Ranjini Menon, known as “Kerala’s Oprah,” and her husband Raj have transformed their passion for sustainable living into The Turmerica, a homestay and organic farm. Nestled among coffee plantations, The Turmerica radiates a deep commitment to environment and community well-being.
Ranjini’s journey to The Turmerica is deeply rooted in her past. With a background in media and as a fervent social activist, she has always championed environmental causes. A descendant of King Zamorin, the first host to Vasco da Gama in 1498, hospitality is in her blood. Over the years, her love for hosting family and friends blossomed into a warm hospitality for guests from around the world.
Experience the tranquillity of The Turmerica, savour its home-cooked meals, and indulge in the local culture.
Visit us and reconnect with Mother Earth in this serene sanctuary, where every stay supports sustainable practices and local employment.
